Greetings to you, Mayor of Thera.
Earlier this day, while I traveled the streets of your town to ensure
they were free from those that sought to do harm to those that inhabit
Thera, I noted a small number of soldiers arranged along either side of
the main road. I took to speaking with one of them, and the man informed
me that he had elected to enlist in the armed service in order to fight
for the town of Thera. Noting the fact that official Theran foreign
policy shows your town is actively hostile to only one group, the
conclusion was a simple one to draw. I then continued on my way,
ruminating over this latest development.
Since the day that Ashtan and Thera forged their alliance, I decreed
that those of Mhaldor were not to harm those that call themselves
citizens of the town of Thera. Not only that, the city of Mhaldor has
contributed in no small way towards defending those of Thera that are
less than capable of doing so themselves. Now that Thera is developing
the means to assemble its own militia in order to assist in the conflict
against the Vertani, I feel it is time for relations between our
respective populations to improve once more.
I believe that the city of Mhaldor has proven its intent adequately
thusfar, we have proven that we are as good as our word in contributing
to the well-being of Thera as a whole. I now offer the town of Thera a
full military alliance, in which the forces of Mhaldorian warriors will
fight side-by-side with the militia of Thera to rid Sapience of the
Vertani invasion. I have been informed that the Vertani wish to
encourage peace, though I have yet to be contacted by their diplomat,
Hingar. How is it that he is so swift to place blame upon any that do
not fit the Vertani design, yet cannot find the means to beseech the
leaders of his opposition for a peace that he allegedly desires to
promote? It is time that the Vertani blade is removed from our necks,
and their fortresses purged from our lands. The city of Mhaldor awaits
your reply, Mayor Ariel.
Respectfully,
Khoraji,
Tyrannus of Mhaldor
