I would like to publically thank all of those who, following in
the brave footsteps of Ixidor, have declared themselves Friends of
the Vertani, and who have received the hand of friendship in return.

Doubtless there are many more of you who wish to express your
friendship in a similar way. Be assured that we will not refuse
any true offer of this kind. Meetings may be arranged at various
times throughout the coming months in response to your requests.

Congratulations, and our heartfelt thanks, go to those brave ones
who came to me just after Ixidor: Flerby, Bram, Sucatraps, Verrucht,
and yes, even Dyaznru!

And to those who followed soon thereafter, confirmed in an over-24-
hour marathon meetings, were Lyndee, Najara, Goldberry, Negid,
Zenui, Nurot, Latus, Sylvia, Ikuyah, Ibayn, Sherlan, Choldar, Adon,
Galin, Tyra, Tanaar, Crunk, Fonetic, Calithandir, and Angaril.

Please forgive me if I have omitted a name or two: I assure you
it was inadvertent.

Here again, to the cause of peace! Let us move as one into the
future, united against savageries and lawlessness.
