To Hingar -- of your people

Several members of Sapience have unjustifiably attacked and killed your
people. Those members, after failing to take responsibility, deserve
your justice.

I have a question for you and your kind. If a member of the Vertani
empire unjustifiably attacked and killed our people, would you cast them
away and leave him to his fate? Would you hand him over to us to deal
justice? Or would you harbor them?

Because it seems possible in your civilization, in the wisdom of the
All, to kill, when is killing justifiable? Who may you kill? What may
you forgive?

I speak of no incident that has happened or may have happened. I merely
wish to know whether the justice you seek for your kind is the same as
the justice you seek for our kind-- whether you treat us mortals of
Sapience the same as you treat yourselves.

Why should you answer me? You don't have to. But I will say many mortals
of Sapience, outside of the borders of Mhaldor and Ashtan, have
questioned the magnitude of your response to crimes committed against
your people. I'm sure THOSE mortals are interested in your response.

Humbly,

-Sir Brinn, Paladin Knight
