Concoctions

I'm glad to see you've taken steps closer to realizing that (most)
forestals aren't motivated by greed, or a desire to take over the world.
Concoctions is a skillset that is very high in demand, and the sad state
of the world is that people want something for nothing, and they don't
care who they're wearing into the ground to get it.
I, too, provide my concoctions at no charge, but only to select
individuals. I have been a secretary in the Sentinels for about a decade
now, and I've been a novice aide for more than three. I have never
advertised my skills for public benefit, and yet, over the years, I have
recieved hundreds of requests from complete strangers for refills. This
is because my name was on the help scroll for my guild as someone who
can help novices.
This, of course, is a blatant misuse of that resource, as it has often
distracted my attention from actual novices who needed my help. But the
thing I came to notice is that these people don't care. They want their
concoctions, and they want them cheap, and it doesn't really matter to
them that you're busy, or that you have your own life.
That is why, I, personally, am very choosy about for whom I refill. I
don't speak for forestals, or Oakstone, or my guild on this matter, just
me.
I realize that in your own way, you are trying to do something you think
is good, but I would like to point out that the demand is always going
to far outweigh your supplies, even if you limit yourself to refilling
and not bulk herb sales. You are taking on an impossible task, and quite
frankly, I'm rather confused as to why you're doing it.
You asked for comments from fellow concoctionists, so I thought I'd make
mine. No offense intended.
