Greetings all.

I was hoping to be able to announce the auction at the same time as the
result of the competition, but it would not seem as if that is possible.
Not to worry though, the auction will still happen - just a bit later
than I had hoped.

Now, without further ado, I present to you all... the winners of the
forging contest!

First, the best forged weapon... A glorious weapon it is indeed! Nearly
matching the quality of it's level 1 artifact counterpart, it is truely
a masterpiece. A broadsword with the incredible stats of 144 damage, 152
to-hit and 161 speed! And the forger is... Dabblegorf! Unfortunately,
you will not be able to buy this weapon in the auction, as the forger
(understandably) chose to keep the item to himself.

Now, for the individual weapons...

Rapiers:

Two rapiers were considered in the end, and the victorious rapier (with
an amazing 223 speed) was forged by ... Gerohold! The full stats of the
rapier are 74 damage, 156 to-hit and 223 speed.

Longswords:

There was only one entry in this cathegory, and it was forged by
Dabblegorf! The full stats are 116 damage, 138 to-hit and 172 speed.

Broadswords:

After the winning broadsword from Dabblegorf was taken out, only one
broadsword remained. Forged by Majin, the stats are 156 damage, 128
to-hit and 161 speed.

Throwing axes:

A throwing-axe that made many of the judges jealous... and
understandably so. Forged by Kellonius, the stats are 101 damage, 172
to-hit and 222 speed. Unfortunately (and understandably), the owner did
not wish to sell it.

Battleaxes:

Another fine weapon forged by Majin, this battle-axe has the stats of
172 damage, 152 to-hit and 126 speed. There was no doubt in the minds of
the judges about this one!

Dirks:

Another cathegory with only one entry, it was (again) won by Dabblegorf!
84 damage, 137 to-hit and 218 speed.

Whips:

Again, only one entry, and again, Dabblegorf! 82 damage, 145 to-hit and
160 speed.

Spears/Tridents:

The judges were split among the spears and tridents, but finally this
Tridents with the stats of 87 damage, 178 to-hit and 164 speed was
deemed the winner. Forged by Dabblegorf, again!

Since the amount of entries was small, I choose to increase the amount
of money won to 1500 gold per cathegory and 3000 gold for the best
weapon.

Thus, the prices are as follows:

Majin, winning two of the cathegories, will receive 3000 gold sovereigns
along with the Divine Favor of Lord Phaestus!

Gerohold, with one winning weapon, will receive 1500 gold sovereigns
along with the Divine Favor of Lord Phaestus!

Kellonius, also winning one cathegory, will also receive 1500 gold
sovereings along with the Divine Favor of Lord Phaestus!

And last, but certainly not least, Dabblegorf! Winning four of the
cathegories, as well as having the best forged weapon, will receive 9000
gold sovereigns along with the Divine TrueFavor of Lord Phaestus!

congratulation again to Dabblegorf!
