Intentions

I made a mistake.
Please bear with me as I explain myself. For reference I have made 2
public posts in the last few months, 12990 and 13001, those of you who
haven't read it would do well to read them before continuing.
For those who haven't heard of me before my most recent posts, I have
made a public post previously, calling for a new brand of freedom, not
Ashtan's but a Good freedom where the villagers and adventurers alike
can spend their time without fear, where slavery and murder do not
exist.
My post elicited 0 responses, ZERO.
For some time I have been trying to come up with a method by which to
bring Freedom For All back into the public arena - and I saw my chance
with a joke I started on a clan.
The joke began as a 'Slave School for Women' it progressed across a
couple of clans as mistells took place and finally ended up on my GTS
channel.
After considering the joke, it came to me that not only could it be a
bit of fun for those that are into it but also could be used to
highlight the hypocrisy in some peoples belief structure.
Due to the utter failure of my previous post, it was my intention to let
the groundswell grow for two months before my followup which ended up
being 13001. I miscalculated badly when considering the anger my post
would cause. I have not grown up in a place where women were downtrodden
- it did not occur to me that people would feel the pain so deeply. That
they would take such great offence to my words. That is my mistake.
I do not hate women.
I do not believe in enforced slavery.
I do not apologise for my post to anyone. For those of you who believe
in Neutrality or Evil and responded in anger, thankyou, you have proved
my point. For my fellow citizens, brothers and sisters who responded in
anger, assuming the worst of me without thinking to ask, I feel sorrow.
For those of you who stood by me and trusted my intentions, you have my
eternal thanks for your support.
If you stand by while Mhaldor enslaves people, while people wander the
villages and feel it is their right to slay any denizen they wish
regardless of who they are, then you should stand by the Pre-School and
Puppy School, because denizens deserve as many rights as you and I. Ask
them, speak with them - if they're not too scared to talk to you they
will respond with stories as grand as any adventurers.
Next time you kill a villager in cold blood or take a Mhun to the
slaver, stop and consider that were you created even slightly different,
you could have been the hapless man, woman or child about to be trained
into slavery the hard way. Think of me what you will, try to kill me if
you must but think about your actions, think about how they affect the
denizens...for they are people too.
