How you say it

Ah, the dwarven word "alt" refers to "long lost cousin."

What I'm sure you meant to say was that her long-lost cousin came to
you, and transfered credits to you on her behalf. Clearly that's what
you meant to say, so I thought I'd just tell everyone that.

So yeah, "alt" in dwarven is "distant cousin" in the common tongue.
Typically, one who is not a first cousin, and you haven't seen that
person for at least 3 seasons, that person is an "alt." People tend to
use "alt" slangly though to mean a close friend or family member that
one hasn't seen in longer than one cares to go without seeing that
person.

Just your lesson for the day. And yet to come is the warrior's thought
of the day ...
