Oakstone, and me.

A few years ago, I attempted to join Oakstone. I got teh required
reccomendations, and I waited. Then I waited some more. Then, I got
passed over for an interview. I know, because I was there the full time,
and they went from interviewing, to hunting, and newsing, and other such
matters. After all, it took at least 2 of the Heirophants, and they had
3 at the time.
Then, less then a year ago, I was approached about the idea of joining
Oakstone, and did I still want to. Nature is still important to me, even
if my old bones find that sleeping on a root is no longer as comfortable
as it once was when I was a spry 65. Unfortunately for me, it turned out
that because I was a Cyrene citizen, I could not be a member of
Oakstone.
If I had never fought fires, or gone after people who were doing those
things that harmed nature, then maybe they would have a point. They
probably do, as you will likely see many people telling me I am a loser,
and whatnot. I am afraid I am just tired. Anciently tired at times. I
could not take the problems any longer. I had hoped I would be able to
find my purpose, once again in Oakstone, but it appears that I am
destined to never return there. It saddens me, but that is the way it
is.
Basically, the point is this. All my life, has been spent in the service
of Nature. I still do what I can. So why does being the member of a city
make me inelligible to be in Oakstone, which seems to me, is an
organization above cities. And is it right, that people who's biggest
mistake, is haveing a miscount, 3 times in 5 years, to be enemied to the
forests?? I could accept their concoctions skill being removed, but you
don't take away a persons home. Unless of course, the Divine so will it.
Then it's not Oakstone, but the Divine. And to all the Divine, we owe a
debt of gratitude, that I for one know I will never be able to repay.
score
Sincerely,
Dragonseyes
