Truth?

What is truth?

I do not speak of Lord Sartan's Truth here, or indeed, any other sort of
Divine Truth . . . I but speak of simple, mortal truths.

Are they even truths at all, or simply . . . opinions?

Surely, these truths are in the eyes of the beholder . . .

One side of an argument will always blind themselves to some of the
viable points proposed by the other . . . no, I am wrong here . . .

For both sides of the argument will always blind themselves to the
other.

The only being any mortal knows exists for certain, is themselves . .
. so to them, only one truth can be justified and correct.

Even if these individuals are presented with cold, hard, un-deniable
facts, their faith could be of such a calibre that they will still denie
the inevitable.

So then tell me, what is truth when the individual seeking the truth
has already decided apon its firmly defined realties before he or she
has even started apon their investigations?

Is this a truth then . . . or just another opinion?
