Ok .. I'm going to take this from a different angle just because I'm
-almost- starting to lose my temper with how very ignorant this all is.
Follow along with me a moment?
The Lords Truth 1) What is called evil is simply the drive for
advancement, for greatness. We seek, through discipline and pain, to
spur the advancement of nothing less than sentient life.---- If Kirath,
Floralei, Astridd, Keryth and any other of the many Mhaldorian Forestals
choose to -ADVANCE THEIR GREATNESS- but utilizing the teachings of Lord
Sartan why does this upset you?
The Lords Truth 2) Cruelty - the application of pain - is the method by
which one weeds out the weak and feeble-minded from the population.
----Does Nature not exemplify this? Does nature not elminate from the
cycle the weak? Is the phrase, "Survival of the Fittest" not something
derived by those who have studied the ways of nature? The very smallest
creatures becoming food for the larger, and up and up, and so and and so
forth? Nature taught this to Man, not the other way around. Man didn't
suddenly appear in a world full of overpopulated sexually exhausted
creatures and start killing off the weak stuff and teaching the lions
how to kill for their food. Nature taught Man how "Survival of the
fittest" works and is therefore, present in Nature.
The Lords Truth 3) Weakness must be eliminated in all its forms:
Physical, Mental, and Spiritual.--- again tying back to Survival of the
Fittest, we as the sentient beings of the lands (ALL OF US, not just
Mhaldorians) seek to eliminate our weakness. We become better fighters,
actors, singers, politicians, we seek to better our spiritual worship,
or our ability deal with irritating public posts (+smirk+) but everyone
does this. Animals adapt to grow in odd places, like the desert or on a
mountain side. Animals learn how to live without water for stretches of
time, or develop an exoskeleton to survive the harshness of the
environment in which they live. All aspects of life will do this, and
thus a little bit of evil as defined by Lord Sartan exists in ALL LIVING
THINGS.
The Lords Truth 4) The enemies of strength are those who trumpet the
effeminate values of forgiveness, tolerance, and laxity of
discipline.-----animals and plants who lack the discipline to exist in
their environment get shuffled off into another one, eaten, or
eventually eliminated altogether from existance. This is a truth to
nature. Evil existing in Nature.
The Lords Truth 5) The body may be made stronger through combat.--- Now
we all know this is true. Why do you people spar? Why do many of your
guilds have sparring requirements? Will not a trees bark thicken to heal
a gouging would sliced into it by man's axe over time?
The Lords Truth 6) The mind may be made stronger through the elimination
of conscience. One does this by inflicting pain on others.----- Alright
this admittedly has a rather narrow birth for pretty much the heavy
combattants of the lands, but I'm certain Anu, Dru, Nimby, old Qwilly
can vouch for how this works.
The last and final of the Lords Truths- 7) The spirit may be made
stronger by enduring hardships, both self-imposed and
externally-imposed.--- how in the HELL can you say this is not found in
Nature? There's a saying, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" and
its true for all forms of life, plantlife or sentient life, biped or
not. The fact remains that everything, once it has survived a
life-threatening situation, will remember the effects of that situation
and move forward from it with at the very least, a knowledge that has
made him or her stronger, if not actual technique that will better his
or her approach to any similar situation. -LIFE- no matter its
definition, breathes this very truth.
Greatness is the pursuit of dominance over others. Oh, I would
definitely say this final line that closes out The Lords Seven Truths at
the bottom of HELP Sartan is quite evident in Nature, and in Natures
Protectorants (loosely termed) as well as in the Church. Though, they
sadly can't admit it. They'll likely all come rushing, huffing and
puffing in their psuedo-intellectual hives trying to mask their anger
and frustration at being compared something so horrible as the true
Definition of Evil as is defined by ... *gasp* ... the Lord of Evil,
Lord Sartan Himself. Evil is not what -you- think it is. Evil is not
some punk kid stealing your pack. Evil is not some fighter who kills you
because he enjoyed watching you die. Evil is how the Lord of Evil
defines Evil, and that is quite literally listed here, in HELP SARTAN,
which is quite literally all interwoven into the reality of Nature if
you would remove your blinders and choose to see past your own
over-inflated ego's.
---And if anyone wants to deny Deaths place in Nature, you're just plain
stupid.
