Greetings everybody,

Some people have seen fit to call Shallam and its noble defenders a few
'bad names', and people have urged me to respond here.

I am not certain what difference acknowledging the challenge of random
aggressive people will make, except to legitimize and accept the
mindless violence they feel is necessary for their way of life.

We, the citizens of Shallam, do not live by the 'Seven Truths' and so do
not feel any real need to attempt to kill people to justify our
existence. We try to do what is right, and that is enough for us.

Our Royal Guard will continue to stop attacks on any peaceful visitors
to our city, where-ever they come from - and, should it become
necessary, help other cities and villages in need.

Our Janizaries will react when WE feel they have to react, and not
before. We certainly do not see petty name-calling as a valid reason to
call them into action.
