The Jesters' Guild

Oh dear, whatever has happened to the Jesters' Guild?

It seems to me there is a group within the Guild who, given the choice
to support the GM or kill the Guild, would go for the latter option. I
know things have been a little unsettled for you, but...Gods, you really
know how to tear yourselves apart, don't you?

Recently you went through another election, called by those who still
can't accept that Mendax lost the election to Rishado. Guys, you lost.
Give it up! Now I hear that another election is in the offing, which is
likely to cause yet more unsettlement and infighting. If you are
considering standing against my daughter Rosalinn once again, I urge you
to consider more than your personal goals and any prejudices you still
have, and work together to heal your guild rather than doing your best
to tear it apart (again). If you can't work for the good of the Guild
rather than for your own political ends, then, really, you shouldn't be
in the Guild. People I know and am very fond of still seem to think they
can heal problems by refighting and refighting the Mendax-Rishado
election and - really - nobody benefits.

Please, don't drag the Guild even further into the mire. Talk about your
ideas, please, rather than fighting election after election. You will
lose, and so will everyone else, because the election just causes pain.
Believe me, I know.

If you must fight an election then please remember, I will fight you
however much I like you, because you are killing the Guild I love. Think
on it.
