Enchantment treaty

Kitt,
Even though I can't enchant, being a rogue mage (with the exception of
trying to break in an enchantment room, anyways), I still remember a
thing or two about the enchantment treaty. First off, Bambi was
completely in the right. The list of prices ONLY applies to magi selling
the items, not anyone else. This has always been the case, though you
might have chosen to disregard that little part for your guild. Just
because Bambi was undercutting you and your guild's prices in Cyrene
doesn't give you the right to try and manhandle and coerce her into
giving up her products, which she got from a mage anyways.
Secondly, the magi treaty is, and I've been argueing this for years,
perhaps the most ill-advised treaty in existence, much along the lines
of the now-defunct Venom treaty. Trying to control the market by having
minimum prices goes against everything free trade stands for, and serves
to only give gold to the more popular of the enchanters. After all, if
everything's going to be the same price (and yes, I know you can sell
above minimum, but no one I've ever seen does) why buy it from someone
you dislike instead of a friend?
Thirdly, the 'illegality' of cube and knife sigils is absurd. Yes, they
can be used to harm our skills. However, a reverberation vibe stops the
cube sigil, and you just need to channel the elements again to stop the
knife sigil. Knife sigils, in case you've never noticed, can be used
against the Priests' guild as well as other magi because they rely on
elemental power as well. Though, the Arcanists and Magi probably
wouldn't like that, hence their being illegal. Cube sigils now can be
used against the Bards. Though, again, the Arcanists and Magi likely
would have nothing to do with it.
Fourthly, even resistance rings and pestilence rings shouldn't be
illegal. Resistance rings don't give that much protection to start with,
and are rather fickle with their decay rates now. Plus, there are other
classes that use attacks that resistance rings can protect against aside
from magi. Pestilence rings are like the stingers of a Druid or Sentinel
in Wyvern morph, or like say, a loki arrow without damage, if the
serpent chooses to keep firing them. Loki arrows aren't restricted to
just the serpent guilds as far as I know. Why should pestilence rings
be? There's no practical reason.
That's about all for my tirade, it's been a long time coming
