Greetings, Achaeans!
I noticed in the previous post that Diamondesce referenced me. I
wish to clarify that she did not "steal" me from the Kharon or bribe
me with offers of power, position, rank and so forth. During my
first year as a Tanjinn monk, I remained a probated member of the
guild, not earning a secretary position until the age of 25, three
years after Diamondesce inguilded me.
The only thing that Diamondesce did promise me was that with hard
work, dedication and perseverence, I would be able to earn *for
myself* the things I would aspire for. It turned out to be true, as
I have made a home for myself here in Mhaldor's walls, first as
a regular monk, then a guild secretary and now Minister of Security.
I speak for myself in this, not for any other Mhaldorian monk or
citizen who happened to be of a Hashanite guild previously. I left
Hashan, years ago, due to its laxity in handling matters. At the
time, Nimnoth and I were the first elected members of the Kharon
to the Hashanite Assembly (CLANHELP ASSEMBLY). We discussed
many things, from wormhole security to legalities, but what was
tantamount was the on-going debate revolving around the original
Triad, the Ladies Valnurana and Ourania and Lord Twilight. I am
sure many remember that nasty business, so I will not digress
further.
As I said, I left Hashan because it was lax in dealing with matters,
be it amidst the Kharon I formerly belonged to or the Crown I
used to reside in. Typhoon, you misspeak, as you have in the past.
I have worked with Diamondesce, as a fellow guild secretary than
as a subordinate when she became Tanjinn guildmaster. She promises
nothing that she does not feel you have the potential within
yourself to do.
With that, I bid all Achaeans, particularly those residing in
Mhaldor, many good seasons. I will be generally away from the realms
for the next several Achaean years, if not more. It has been
truly a pleasure adventuring with some of you.
Sincerely,
Diego Aristata
