Linnia's last posting here

Against my better judgement to ever post on this board, I feel I would
do a great disservice to Linnia if I kept quiet about this matter of the
artifact (which measured levels of chaos). I was gone many years, living
in the Northreach Forest as a hermit, and when I returned to
civilization, Linnia was the only person who took time to fill me in on
the happenings surrounding chaos. Those of you who care nothing for this
subject, I am sorry you feel that way.

Dawn herself, when she sat as High Priestess, used this method (whether
it was rite, skill, or artifact I do not know completely) to 1) uncover
the Jaru Cabal, 2) uncover the rising levels in Shallam itself which was
indicative of a Cabal, and 3) decide when the Phoenix should be used due
to the levels of chaos being too high for the usual cleansings.

If anyone denies this skill, artifact, or rite, they are either a liar
or a fool who needs to study more. Linnia, I did not agree with your
estimation of the person of which we spoke last, but I do agree that
knowledge that is true and good should not be suppressed at the whim of
those who have the power to do so. But to seek out Darkness to shed
light...my heart aches that you chose this path, as that in itself, it
senseless and lacking knowledge.

Your quest for knowledge is not unlike the early Cabals that sacrificed
their very minds in order to 'know' that which is chaos.

Having said this, I still think you're right about the other things we
discussed.
