Drealok, the Hated, the Thief.

Dear Sapience,

I'm afraid it would seem clarification is needed on a few things
concerning myself, as a lot of you don't seem to understand me all that
well and this creates a few problems and causes me to be concerned for
my mental well-fare and the well-fare of those that surround me and may
seem to call me their allies. As some of you may very well know by now,
I am a thief, yes, I am the lowest form of life to some of you, if not
most of you. However, I am unphased by this description/label. This post
mainly concerns my brethren. See, my guild, despite the animosity that
some surround them with, they frown upon theft. Unlike a Guild which has
affiliation to the Church of Sapience, the Occultists allow theft, they
merely frown upon it.

Alright, so that's cleared up, those of you that have read thus far have
proved you actually can read and therefore have the ability to think,
ergo you would now have figured out that my guild frowns upon me, yet
tolerate me. I am writing upon this scroll this day to inform the entire
populance that my actions are my own, my actions are not directed or
influenced by the teachings of the Occult or the practices of Chaos. I
am an Occultist by destiny and a thief by choice.

Death is a lifestyle I have chosen to walk in, as a member of the
Quisalis Mark. I call myself a Quisalis Assassin with pride and I move
each day without a shadow of a doubt that my life is constantly in
danger. I am already an enemy to a number of guilds and organisations
whom have marked me and targetted me. I also know that there are many of
my 'victims' out there whom I have managed to steal from who hate me
with a vengeance and would like nothing more than to see me burning with
their flames of justice. To all of you, I have little to nothing to say,
save for that whatever occured to you which scathed you in whichever
manner was an action out of my own free will. Even by some of my allies
I have been labelled a thug. Now, I do not see myself as a thug, I do
not bully people, I feel no ill will to anyone when I am stealing from
them, nor do I afterwards. When I am attacked by someone in retribution
for their goods being stolen, I will defend myself, and if I am to
achieve the goal of defending myself, rendering my opponent fallen in
battle, I will rejoice as any normal person would.

Some would think this is all a bunch of inane dribble, and you may just
be right. But I feel I owe this much to my allies and my fellow
Occultists, they should not be held accountable nor should the guild's
name be besmirched by anything I should do that may cause someone in the
guild at all to feel shame.

Held in the Palm of Thoth's Hand,
-Drealok Vandearoth.

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Daedalan, in the year 348 AF.
