The Island off the Northern Vashnars (not Mhaldor)

Ravai,

The red fog that blankets the Island off the Northern Vashnars does not
simply destroy plantlife. It contaminates and diseases the area. There
are trees and grasses there though, I'll give you that much. Only
they're dead or dying. Contrary to what you would have people believe,
little of anything 'grows' just outside of Mhaldor.

The lycopod is the only creature which thrives there, its man-eating
behaviour means it does not depend on the balance of its natural
surroundings to survive. Unfortunately, the vast majority of plant and
animal life in the area has no alternative but to die a slow, withering
and unnatural death.

The grasslands are burnt and despoiled. The forest is dead, a skeletal
semblance of what it used to be. The evidence of Nature that was once,
is now visible in unnatural and permanent death. There is no balance, no
cycle of life, growth and death that is displayed in a healthy
environment.

All one has to do is walk through the area to see that it is a diseased
and ailing expanse. Commendable effort to convince us otherwise, Ravai.

On another note, if you are looking for plants to harvest and make gold
from, perhaps you should look inside Mhaldor itself. You would be
correct in assuming that the fog outside of Mhaldor does not prevent any
Mhaldorian rogues (who can) from harvesting and doing well financially,
either. Especially when they have their few handy little plantations
within the City itself. Strangely enough, the fog stops at the gate of
Mhaldor, allowing a few sought after herbs to grow - and be harvested,
inside.

And Diamondesce, shutup. At least Ravai's post wasn't laughable.
Honestly. "Mhaldor only accepts in its fold those that embrace a
strength beyond the norm, beyond the average, beyond most of Sapience".
Yes, that would be why Mhaldor consistently loses absolutely everything.
