Jinxsta,
I believe your efforts to have the Red Fog around Mhaldor removed are
worth great applause. And at least this Forestal could not care if you
were to sacrifice half of Sapience to Sartan to attain this result. The
end justifies the means, especially this end.
Nonetheless, there is one thing I don't understand. Why did you think
you could attain this by confronting Mhaldor with an ultimatum on a
Public Forum? Surely, it is clear that, after you made your demand here,
there was no way Mhaldor could have agreed to have the Red Fog removed.
The loss of prestige Mhaldor would suffer by submitting to an ultimatum
put to them by a single man, in front of the eyes of all of Sapience,
would be enormous - the damage would be far greater than you or any
private army of yours could do to them.
So, it seems to me that your action could not lead but to the exact
opposite result of what, you say, you intended - the removal of the Red
Fog. Did you realize this?
