Hashan

Greetings, People of Saipence.

The general consenus here seems to be that because Hashan took a
downturn to what it formally was at one point, it's going to stay that
way forever. Surely you have to admit that every single city, at some
point during it's existence has had a bad patch? Just as something is
down at the moment, doesn't mean it's going to stay down.

And that's the same with Hashan. I'm proud to be a serpentlord in
Hashan, and you can already see signs of change from the way that the
guild is rising recently, looking at the TOPGUILDS scroll, and it's not
just the guild that's rising.

In response to 'Like it or not, the city was held together by Lord
Twilight" - I disagree. I'm too young, at 40 to remember when Hashan was
the "superpower" for want of a better word, that Ashtan is today.
However I don't belive it's the Divine influence that determines how
"powerful" a city is. It's the people that chose that, with the Divine
watching and guiding.

However if a city is "fence-sitting," as has been used to describe
Hashan, you don't just quit and follow the leader to join the biggest
city - you work at it to improve it and help it grow. They'll always be
squabbles, I admit, but you have to work round those and compromise
sometimes. At least those currently in Hashan who haven't run away have
the true Hashanite spirit - Loyalty.

Any comments or quesion appriciated.

In service to the Crown, and for the Love of the Lady of Dreams.
