Greetings...
Be it resolved that Hashan officially denies policing the herb ban that
has been set against Mhaldor by the Forest. It has been decided that
such an act violates our sovereignty as a neutral city-state of
Sapience.
It has to be said that Hashan is by no means against the Forest or its
inhabitants. It is unfair and an injustice to punish your own
shopkeepers as well as those Sapience-wide for qualms that you hold with
a couple of people. These people have spent their hard-earned sovereigns
purchasing herbs & salves..enriching you in the process if I may add.
And you would repay them by denying them ownership of that which you
have clearly relinquished the right to via sale? I will not now, nor
ever, deny the livelihood of our shopkeepers because of a private affair
of those originating outside of our gates. Frankly, I think the idea of
enforcing a ban upon an entire city for not handing over a couple of its
citizens a bit harsh.
What recourse do those of us who live outside of the forest have to
punish the enemies of our cities that you harbor? Absolutely none, we
enemy them and we move on.such is life. There are those who find comfort
in the embrace of the forest that burn holes through the ancient enemy
scrolls of the Crown.they have made no attempts at restitution and we
live with that. Why? Because our jurisdiction ends at our ports.
Will the shopkeepers of Sapience suffer every time another person
becomes an enemy to the ways of the forest? Will the city's Security
Ministers be compensated for the arduous task of identifying wanderers
bearing the cloth of a particular region of Sapience?
Indeed these may seem peculiar questions.but for some of us these are
peculiar times..
Hashan has affairs that prove more critical at this time....
May the Heavens provide you with guidance....
