Greetings and Good Jera, all...!

We - the team of Runewardens behind this event - have decided to extend
the Festival somewhat, to allow us to fit in all the events we would
like to hold. So...

The New Phaestian Festival shall now run from Phaestian 333, to
Phaestian 334 - a whole YEAR of events, with something happening each
and every month throughout the year, all in Honour of our Lord
Phaestus...!

Drinking Contest - Dallam

Duelling Tournament - Dallam and Cesa
- On each of the first five duelling days, we shall announce across open
channels for all participants to meet at the Cyrene Arena. Fighters
shall take part on a Come As You Are basis, and shall be assigned a
random opponent from those present. Any winners shall be invited back to
the 2nd Round Events. The 2nd round shall run in the same fashion, with
winners being invited back until we have a grand Finale Duel on
Phaestian itself. Think you can Fight? Then listen out for the Call...

Storytelling Contest - Bannor

Relay Race - Mairean and Ameri
- Participants shall take part in teams of four, running a large
land-based relay race across the Continent.

Phaestian Quiz - Questron

Forging Contest - Cesa
- The Forging contest has been extended, running over three days with
participants allowed three attempts to forge a prize shortsword.

Massive FFA - Aeryi
- We are looking for this one to be a lot of fun....We want to hold a
truly MASSIVE Free For All. Free entry for any level, we ask any and all
to enter this event, as we are truly hoping to set some kind of record
for the largest, most impressive FFA ever!

Hide and Seek - Raliric

'Boys and Men' Contest - Mairean
- Think your man is a studly type, or simply an all-round nice guy and
great to know? Or perhaps you are a single man, who thinks -he- is a
studly type and all-round nice guy to know? If so, this is your chance
to prove it! Nominations for this award, to be judged by a panel of
highly-introspective females opens half-way through the year, and final
judging takes place near to the end of the Festival. Start preparing
those glowing accolades now!

Kilt Designing Contest - Aeryi
- To all Tailors and Seamstresses: We feel the Kilt is a long
under-valued and overlooked piece of fashion wear, so we want you to
change all that! Design a Kilt for Phaestian, with the Lord Phaestus and
his Children in mind, and send it to us! Entries will be accepted from
the start of Phaestian, up until the day of judging. Let the Kilt be
recognised as it should!
