Your point is taken. The terminology I used was a bit of an over
generalisation. I was merely recycling the words of an already badly
thort out argument. But let me explain what I mean in a bit more detail
. . .
You stated in your post that your actions are a direct result of your
free choices in life. This statement rings true with my own
philosophies. If you read the paper I posted (Ref.: Public Post No.
10982, "Mhaldorian Freedom"), you would have noted that the freedom you
speak of, I have referred to as 'Divine Freedom'. Or in other words, the
freedom gifted to all mortals by the Logos himself, to be who and what
they wish to be if they are strong enough to accomplish their dreams. Of
course your life philosophy might disagree with the last part of that
statement, for you would baleve that no one, no matter how strong they
may be, has the right to take away this freedom from another. But this
does little more than support another statement I made in the same
essay, that being that any given concept has an infinite different
number of interpretations. In turn, the interpretation the mortal has,
of said concept, is determined by what path he or she walks down in his
life, which window he or she looks out apon the world threw.
But I also scribed down that hypocrisy is never an accurate
interpretation of /any/ concept. It could be said that hypocrites have a
'free choice' to live the way they do. But to tread down your chosen
path in a hypocritical manor, shows your ignorance of the path you walk
down. Ignorance is weakness . . . and I despise the weak . . .
Individuals who stay true to what they baleve have my utmost respect.
Even if our life styles are at polar opposites, even if our quills or
tongues are locked in combat, even in the shedding of each others blood,
I will respect that individual. What this doesn't mean, however, is that
I have to like them or agree with their views on the world. If indeed
you do act in the manor you described to us all, I may not agree with it
but I respect you for showing a wise understanding of the path down
which you walk in life (why someone would want to help anyone other than
themselves, or anything over than their Guild, City, God or Goddess is
personally beyond me . . . and I really do pity the Mhaldorian who has
to beg at the door of a 'Churchy' for help, but would you expect
anything else?).
The majority of Church members I have come into contact with over the
years, however, have not fallen into this category. They have adhered to
the second interpretation of the path that you mentioned in your
previous post and can little see how prejudice can truly be seen as a
part of 'Goodness'. Prejudice against un-known individuals is based on
judgmental ignorance and as I'v already stated, Ignorance is weakness .
. . not strength.
You may say that I myself am prejudice against Ashtan, and judging by my
past posts it would same such a claim would be justified. But my
prejudice is not against the Ashtan people, I have come into contact
with many Ashtanites since I made those posts. Some, indeed, have been
pig ignorant . . . but I have met others who have earnt my respect. I
now know that there are existing entities within Ashtan itself pushing
for change, indeed, if these individuals have the strength with in them
to accomplish their dreams then there might be some changes in the
future. My prejudice is not against the people, but the Authorities of
the City and the corrupt and hypocritical 'Ashtanite Dream' that they
sell to the world.
I didn't mean for this post to drag on so, but it seems to have don so
of its own accord. . . when my quill tip touches fresh parchment it has
a knack of getting carried away with itself . . .
