Tattoos & Fees

In my wanderings around Achaea, I sometimes offer a tattooing service
for those who require it. This is something I am happy to do and I am
more that willing to drop what I am doing to accomadate people as often
as I am able.

However, when I mention that I charge a small fee (100 gold in my case
if they have the relevant inks and 200 + cost of inks if they dont) I am
sometimes berated for doing such a thing. Things like "such and such
doesnt charge" and "why are you charging" are the two most common
statements I get.

The answer is fairly simple, like many who are Transcendant in
Tattooing, we spent a considerable amount of credits becoming so. I
think a small nominal charge is fair considering the fact that we
provide such an accesible service. Especially as compared to the prices
charged by Vinci, makes my modest sum seem paltry.

We all have relevant skills depending on which guild we belong, and in
each we have a skill that can and is used as a commodity. I am a Strider
and so I can milk venoms, some have the ability to sell health vials and
others still have the ability to augment and forge weapons. All of these
skills are traded quite openly, but I still hear gasps when I say I
charge for tattooing.

I appeal to you all, not to think less of those of use who charge for a
service that is in many ways essential to some people. I am hardly gonna
become rich from the enterprise, but I feel the small fee is justified
as we could be ratting, questing or otherwise engaged.

I do of course do free tattooing for my guild and citymates free of
charge, but for those not in that category, if you you want a tattoo,
then I am here to oblige. I never force anyone to pay my fee, you can of
course refuse and hope that someone is in the realm that can do it for
you free.

I trust my words are taken in the spirit in which I wrote them......

Smoke me a kipper, Ill be back for breakfast.....
