I beg Your forgiveness Lord Twilight, but one thing troubles me. How
exactly do you base Your theory upon the Eye of Proteus causing Divine
to act with duplicities and infidelities when we have but four examples
of its interactions in modern times. I will grant that its actions were
evil, strifeful, and full of deceit when the item resided within Yours
and Lord Sartan's hands...but when the item rested in Lady Valnurana's
hands it was used to create the wells which now guard each city and
helped save the cities from harm. And when the item rested in Dawn's
hands she sacrificed her own life to save many. Hardly the acts of an
item that wishes to cause destruction in my own humble opinion. But
again, I am but a mere mortal who does not understand the ways a Divine
think and cannot fathom the intricate thought processes that occur to
come up with such theories, but as a regent of Hashan I do hope You will
humor my ignorance and explain this to myself and the rest of the city
so that we may come to a better understandment as to just why You placed
us in harms way and what ends justified what means.
