Free Will of Gods

As the leader of an Order who's major ethos is Free Will, alongside
Craftsmanship and Creation, I feel I am justified replying to your
thoughts on the free-will of Gods.

Your thoughts about the nature of Gods is a point that can be debated
for an eternity with no mortal ever being able to justifiably answer
100% yes they do or no they dont, however I see it as they do have
freewill. My own Father, Phaestus gave up His free-will to give the
Dwarves a Soul of their own. Now why was this such a noteable sacrifice
that he had to send His children to war and give it up for an eternity.
If he had little free-will to begin with as you surmise, and His sole
purpose is to create, then why would this be such a sought after thing
from Proteus. Why not simply ask for His essence, His power, or for our
Lord to create something for Him. The clerics of the Soulforger are
still debating this topic to this day, why was His free-will, which when
he offered Himself to Proteus for all eternity, was what was given up,
such an important thing.

No the Gods have free-will, at least all but Our Lord do. They have a
choice, their ethos' or portfolio's are not set in concrete. Pentharian
himself has taken on Light as His realm to fullfill some prophecy
alongside Reightousness., and each god changes the way their Orders and
Lives are lived constantly. In fact some could say all but Phaestus have
the ultimate freedom. To do and create that which is within their power
to do so. It may not be the great worlds and life that Proteus (sarapis)
or Phaestus can create, but every god has different powers. It is this
difference in their powers, not the personality or their ability to
think something different than their ethos that sets them apart.
