Shallamese Law - a response

Hello there, here is a response to several posts that have been made so
far.
First of all, in regards to public post 10641. Usually when someone
speaks to me in hopes of attacking something I've said, they will take
certain quotes out of context. This time I see instead they have chosen
to ignore some of what I've said. I gave one extremely specific example
of the spread of Chaos through physical contact, and the response was,
"Other than this example, do you have others?" I don't understand how my
example disappeared from memory - if you wish to review it I wrote down
our conversation and would be happy to send a copy.
The next point in this post was about eliminating Chaos from Shallam, as
was a post of Saruman's. A later post also sarcastically referred to
cleansing the taint of chaos from everyone completely, or something. In
my conversation with Shakti, she continued to assume that the goal of
Shallam's new law was to eliminate Chaos from the city. Seven separate
times (I counted) I repeated that this was not the goal of this
particular law - it seems I should have said it eight times. Let me say
it here, then. In fact let me repeat word for word something I said in
our conversation. "I am confident this measure will decrease the amount
of chaos in Shallam. I am also confident that it will not come close to
eliminating chaos in Shallam." All these sarcastic comments about
roulette tables, and banning Humans and Mhuns from Shallam do not apply.
If you truly believe you are making a good point in asking why Humans
are not banned from Shallam, you don't understand why the law was made,
and I would be happy to speak with you in person. We do not pretend to
be able to eliminate Chaos from Shallam right now, we decrease it.
Finally, in my conversation with Shakti I also advised her to read over
the Constitution and Laws of Shallam, which Reznik has a copy of. From
her post I don't think she has done this - I would in particular point
out the Preface as a statement of Shallamese beliefs. The Constitution
was approved recently by the citizens of Shallam, and every individual
guild.
The underlying point behind many of the recent Chaos posts has been that
chaos is not a bad thing. Probably it's actually a happy thing, a fun
thing, a furry and cuddly thing. And Greywolf provided no evidence that
it's not, he's just a blind zealot! If you want to re-hash (again) the
arguments for or against Chaos, I'm sure we can start a huge argument.
Or we could save the time and just read back over the countless
exchanges in years past on this board - I would suggest the public posts
starting with number 9773 are a good place to start. Decades of scholars
have argued the question, and obviously it has not been resolved. I
doubt it will be resolved now, but there's nothing I can do to stop
people from wasting space on this board.
As a last note, on behalf of Shallam I would like to thank Reznik for
well-representing his guild to the world. The four Shallamese orphan
girls and the orphan boy you have recently killed will, I assume, be
added to the heap of bodies inside the Ashtan orphanage. When the more
subtle proponents of Chaos claim it is a warm and fuzzy force, we will
remember the example of the Occultist who took out his anger on five
defenseless orphans.
