Upon awakening, I found that you had left me a message, basically saying
that you were accused of being a portal target in Shallam during a raid
and that I had no way to prove you were or were not a portal target, and
as such, should ally you based solely on that.

Now let me tell you how I operate. I try to be fair to anyone and
everyone that wants to be allied, save the few people who have no chance
of ever walking Shallam's Streets again. I believe this was proven when
I recently alowed Yig to pay a fine (albeit a hefty one) and become an
ally.

Realizing that you, also, were awakened at this time, I sent you a tell.
We spoke cordially for a few moments, and then it got ugly. After
admitting that I could not prove whether you were or were not a portal
target, and whether it was intentional or not, I told you that I will
trust the judgement of Starrsong, a Prelate of the Church, GuildMistress
of the Priests, and a woman who has impeccable character, over you, a
Maldaathi Squire, a Guild comprised of followers of Evil.

After all, we are the City of Light.

Trying to be as fair as possible, I informed you that in one year's
time, if you would speak to me again, I would see about getting you
unenemied.

At this point, you accused me of being an extortionist, and called my
home, the Jewel of the East, a city of Liars and Thieves. Funny. Read
back about 20-30 posts and you will find Shallam initiating a crackdown
on thieving Sapience wide, at least in regards to newbies.

However, do not worry about me "stealing" your money. As long as I
remain the Minister of Security, you will not be allied.
