Eleusis

The city of Ashtan welcomes the rise of the village of Eleusis to the
community of sovereign states of Achaea. Congratulations to Lady Demeter
and the people of Eleusis!

As one of the eldest city-states in Achaea, we in Ashtan have had the
opportunity to learn much on the inner workings of such a governmental
structure as we now share, and we can offer our expertise and advice to
our fledgling sister to ease any growing pains.

Recognizing that the village of Eleusis has existed out of the reach of
most mortals' ken for long before this date, we understand that Eleusis
itself does not change in character, only in form. Thus this must be
likened to a metamorphosis rather than a birth. As an imago unfolds
itself from a chrysalis, may Eleusis reach out its wings to the sun and
find growth in accord to its inner will, shaping itself to its own
destiny always.

Warm regards,

Shakti Devi, Overseer of Ashtan

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Daedalan, in the year 324 AF.
