I would like to show you some respect for following your true desires
and hopes, Nosgard, but I am irked by many things regarding your
abandonment of our ranks. As a Maldaathi Knight, I am irked to read the
posts you made to our guild about loyalty, saying that traitors to
Sartan "are weak", and "hold no honor within themselves". Your claim
that you would "never disgrace our glorious guild by leaving its ranks",
and that you are "always loyal". These things tell me you are a liar of
the worst sort... not only did you lie to us, and to Lord Sartan, by
feigning belief in what we stand for, but you lied to yourself as well.
That, more than anything, shows me your weakness.
Yes, I consider you a traitor. Let all of Sapience know that your final
farewell to our guild spoke of remorse in leaving. You assured us that
any others who left our ranks to follow you would be slain by your own
hand, as you would hate to see any others leave the Glory of Lord
Sartan. It does not matter to me that your words were empty and hollow,
but I laugh to see you pretend to the rest of Sapience your regret and
repentance of our beliefs. The truth is this: You feared retribution for
leaving us, and so played us lip service to avoid our blades. Let
Sapience know you truly are a liar and a coward, not the repentant
fallen angel you portray yourself to be.
And now I speak to you not as a Maldaathi, but as a mere creature with a
heart and soul of my own, regardless of those who doubt such a being
might have them. You have left us to join the Order of Lupus, and
betrayal and cowardice aside, I can respect one who seeks to follow his
true calling. But I, as well as anyone, knows that the Order of Lupus
values the Pack, the family if you will. They value loyalty, trust,
honour, and diligence. You leave our ranks like a beaten puppy, only to
turn and bare your teeth in defiance, and you wish for me to believe you
have done so to join an Order of loyalty, the value of the Pack? I
cannot say I would be surprised if you were to turn on them just as you
did us. I would not advocate that anyone trust you... when you so
quickly turned to bite the hand that fed you your entire life.
Your words, to me, are empty and hollow, a far cry from the man whom I
first approached upon my arrival in these lands, a man who taught me
about the Maldaathi and helped me in the frailty of novicehood. Your
congratulations on my Knighting mean nothing to me. I am enraged by your
cowardice, your lies, and your pathetic mewlings. Take the path you have
chosen, but never more pretend to be anything more than you are. Coward,
traitor, liar, and fool.
