Poetry News Post #920

Where do I go from Here?

Written by: Nature's Protege, Zula Lighthawk

Bittersweet memories flow through my fingers.
Yearning for relief,
Release from the doubts lingering in my mind.

Holding onto hope,
Crying to the stars,
Walking alone.

Wishing I could have drowned in those moments,
The soothing words and soft caress.
Now, just thoughts.

A time when my fears were chased away,
And my tears kissed away,
But now my heart bleeds.

Work and activities consume the hours,
As friends dull the pain,
Still the bed awaits, empty.

Praying for patience and strength.
A lost soul
Singing to herself.

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Ero, in the year 291 AF.
