The Sorceress stood silently, her eyes closed, her arms at rest and her
wings still. Slowly, she bowed her head, a slight crease marring her
brow as she concentrates on the flow of her energies.
Two small flamelets spring into being on either side of her. For a
moment they stood, flickering. Then they started to move, leaving a
trail of fire behind them. Their moves mirror each other as each creates
a burning half-circle around her, forming into a whole as they meet.
Flames lick around her feet as they are suddenly there instead. They
don't seem to be doing any damage, though. Moving faster than before,
they wind their way up her legs, twining into a spiral-vortex pattern.
Continuing their mimickry of each other, they spin around her torso. She
raises her arms slightly, and the two flames split to four, one each
flowing down her arms and spreading along her wings.
Her head leaned back in concentration, she extends her wings, the flames
playing the ebon gleam into a fiery glow. The four flames meet at her
shoulders, then spread to her hair, igniting it and turning it into a
shifting, flickering fire of it's own.
Blazing fury, rippling desire, she stands with a delighted smile on her
face, an image of flame, flesh and flight.
From amidst the fire, her voice resonates, "Fire stands for life. It
ignites both passionate love, and vengeful fury. It can also bring
death. And yet, from death also comes life, in one form or another."
She brings her hands together in an abrupt motion, dispursing the flames
with an act of her will alone. Her voice now a whisper, you hear it
clearly through the silence. "Through life, we fly. Through life, we
fall. yet we always return to it, willing to burn, in pain or joy. In
sorrow or pleasure. Learn from what is around you, be it as simple and
small as a raindrop, or as vast and complex as the Oceans." With a
smile, she bows gracefully and is gone.
