Sitting amongst the clouds
Gazing at the landscape beneath
Watching the shadows slowly drift across the land
Clouds block the sun briefly, then move on
Nothing better to do than simply Be.
A flicker of amusement at a windswept voice
Shouting for all to hear its joy
Eyes glazed over in rapt contemplation of her Being
She sits and Watches.
Two falcons soar by, playing tag with the winds
Inspiring a depth of emotion hard to bear
Memory of twinned fledglings
One Dark now, the other Gone.
A voice tentatively breaks her reverie
She sighs softly and returns to her duties.
Gliding swiftly landward
Coming to rest gently upon the ground
Placing a smile upon her face
A sparkle in her eye
She nods to the youngster
And begins a lesson in Life
