Plans

Tomorrow
Something wished for
Diagrammed and expected
Every step through every door

Losing our way happens
That's the path on occasion
Dreams dashed or pushed aside
Making way for dissuasion

When the sun's rays
Do grace the grass I walk
Or when the moon's shadows
Brush the waves below the docks

My thoughts turn to
A future now lost
Plans and hopes and wants
Scattered and tossed

Tumble over and through
The threads of fated future
Once wanted now discarded
A wound that accepts no suture

Can warmth be cold?
This shiver unheated
Scramble down, a cascade
A cost never meted

I gander at this place
Whence I arrive
If it is so, can I
Perchance to mend, and it subside?

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Sarapin, in the year 1014 AF.
