Cut My Tongue and Hope I Die

Trapped in these walls, I'm losing my mind
How am I supposed to smile day to day?
Do you love to see me agonise and suffer?
Just stab my heart for good and pray I die.

How am I supposed to smile day to day?
When my heart is tearing at its seams?
Hating you would be the easier path,
I wish I felt nothing but wrath.

Do you love to see me agonise and suffer?
Should I cut my tongue if that makes you happier?
I think of you even when I'm with others,
Why have you sent what we had to the gutters?

Just stab my heart for good and pray I die,
But I'll spend the rest of my life coming back,
Remember when you wanted my light,
to drag you forth from the dark,
I refuse to believe your very stanzas were a lie.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Lupar, in the year 1000 AF.
