Dreams
caught in a web of gossamer
dangle for a moment sublime

Livened by snoring
of a somber sleeper
into a fleeting dance

Shimmering shadows
of the world less oppressed
by the pressures of rule

Moving to broken cadence
called by a lawmaker unprepared
for the flash rebellion.

Before order falls
a draft carries off
the motes of imagination,

Only to leave the dreamer
with impressions more real
than memory.
