Fighting for Freedom

Sword in hand, shield strapped tight,
No ground to be given without a fight.
Take up the banner and raise it high,
Draw taught your bows and let arrows fly.
The earth trembles as hooves pound the ground,
And the signal is given for the battle horn to sound.
Hold tight the line with wide set feet,
Preparing for the enemy to meet.
Today brothers will die; lineages will be lost,
A reminder that Freedom comes at a heavy cost.
Defeat is something we can hardly afford,
So ready your shields and draw forth your swords.
Remember your families and friends back home,
And break the charge on our shields like a wall of stone.
Cut them down and show no mercy,
For we are Knights in truth, and for blood are we thirsty.
So let them come, marching proud in their folly,
Setting themselves up to to fall to our volleys.
Battle by battle we'll strip them of their holds,
And raise high the banner of black and gold.
For the Steel Bastion,
