Ballade Revisited

Bright gowns hang in the life giving summer's light
Soft breezes billowing the fabrics form,
Rays of sun infuse the cloth with new delight
Garments once old and cold now feel so warm
Even when worn in the seasons first storms,
Eyes now open to the colours of life
My sweet siren's song lures, loves, and informs,
How one yearns for and can best be a wife.

Leaves shift colour then dance, the air set afire,
Gazes on eachother, hearts reflected
Within shimmering eyes of change and sapphire,
Hand in hand we're uniquely connected
Both stubborn with love, hearts unprotected,
We dance through our fate, handfasted in time
Problems that come will be corrected,
This love of ours fore'er will be sublime.

Sweeping winds of snow lick the hearts still beating,
Not towards pain nor numbing, but blankets flames
Which hold contentment's and desire's heating,
Keeping bonds and connections noble claims
Snow shifting in dunes of passion's true aims,
Still growing to newfound heights now crowned
From your hearts vivid love no one else tames
Contrasts the winterland landscape around.

Bound to you each dawn, each dusk, each night,
Each season richens, yet it grows not old,
But in resplendent spring which holds tight,
For from your love comes life, with joys untold.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Aeguary, in the year 454 AF.
