Waiting With Dusk

Although you said there's nothing to fear,
Dusk arrives and my heart skips a beat.
A star falls. How I wish you were here.

Summoned by Twilight, the fog draws near,
And my body quivers as it reaches my feet
Although you said there's nothing to fear.

I hear a noise and through the night I peer.
The arachnoi hunger and are ready to eat.
A star falls. How I wish you were here.

This forest is starting to look a bit queer.
Darkness calls and I worry whom I may meet,
Although you said there's nothing to fear.

A twig snaps. Is that a whisper I hear?
I shiver despite the Lupar night's heat.
A star falls. How I wish you were here.

Our last parting was so tender, my dear,
And your kisses, like nectar, ever so sweet.
Although you said there's nothing to fear;
A star falls; how I wish you were here.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Mayan, in the year 453 AF.
