Dawn Song

As dawn appears

with rays of red
that brush through feathered robin breast

he sings his silken song of joy

while shimmers of the morning sun
provide a chorus, crystalline,
to the exultant theme

that shines
down from his lofty perch.

He proudly views his living land
with whistled love

resounding from the tree above

there is no end
to his euphoric calls
of boundless bird delight.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Chronos, in the year 451 AF.
