A broken promise, honour dead
A mother weeping, empty home
A man forsaken, empty head
Religion tainted, broken dome

Lovers hates, empty words
"The boy is gone, dear, pack his things."
Daylight halted, dead songbirds
Fallen angels, broken wings

Maiden longing, missing him
Mother lonely, growing old
Cherubs saddened, whispered hymns
"The boy is gone, dear, lost his soul."
