Poetry News Post #3126

A small piece

Written by: Apprentice Druid Drylor, Winged Student

We as simple mortals
all fail and blunder the same.
When thou hurt another
thou ought to take the blame.

The cure to end an argument
is simpler than one thinks.
It takes courage, not strength,
to mend up broken links.

A simple, small apology
can carry one quite far.
A quick, "I'm sorry"
Can bring an end to a spar.

I write this poem despondently
with only a single goal.
To gain the forgiveness of the one
who now I give my soul.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Mayan, in the year 438 AF.
