Sonnet #1

What gives my heart so much weight?
'Tis but the lack of what makes it pound,
For in my blood pumps not love but hate;
My oath to Evil forever I'm bound.

In chasity do I serve my Lord,
By no other will I swear
In dirk, life, blood and mandolin chord
And the toils and burdens of which I bear.

No one can harvest my steeled heart's house,
Sans my Lord, else He is offended;
No man shall e'er claim me as spouse,
Lest unwanted weakness go unamended.

Lord, rip me asunder should I ever adore
Anything else except You and Mhaldor.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Glacian, in the year 392 AF.
