A Wedding Song

This is a song I wrote for a wedding I performed at a while back, and I
finally added insturmental accompaniment to it. But I wanted to post
the song itself, and offer it for free use at weddings.
Anyone may sing this song at a wedding, or perform it embellished with
their own music.
A Wedding Song
The sun has come to greet the day
And send night's dolor on its way.
Though two have come, go forth as one
With mirth and laughter in the sun.
Your friends are all assembled here
To wish you happiness and cheer.
The time has come to share a kiss
And live your lives in wedded bliss.
I can't surpass with words I sing
A glint of light from golden ring,
But when the veil falls from the bride
Her eyes outshine the sun outside.
The sun has come to greet the day
And send night's dolor on its way.
Though two have come, go forth as one
With mirth and laughter in the sun.
Penned by my hand on the 17th of Phaestian, in the year 389 AF.
