I haven't written any poetry in a while. This might be why...
-------------------------------------
Seleucar, where are thy faded walls?
Lost to time and history, do you yet stand tall?
From far away I dream of you, in all my restless sleep.
Of the glory that you made and the secrets that you keep.
Seleucar, where do your ruins stand?
I've traveled far and wide and all across the land.
Searching for the memories that only you have kept.
My journey will never end until we are well met.
Seleucar, do your towers still stand proud?
Reaching up into the skies and up above the clouds.
Stretching far into the divine's great realm
Like the forests' beautiful giant elms.
Seleucar, will you make my dream come true?
Keep my thoughts on better sights and not on being blue.
Show me now your resting place so that may soul may rest.
And 'ever more let me stay as your eternal guest.
Penned by my hand on the 12th of Scarlatan, in the year 389 AF.
