Why me?
What did I do?
How could I have done wrong
Before I could even do right.

Why do I have to bear this cross?
What am I supposed to do?
Why me?
Why anyone?

How is this fair?
Is this justice? Surely not
I just want to cry
I hold back the tears.

You have taken so much
And you just take more
My friends, my health
Perhaps eventually my life.

Invisible monster
Liquid nothing fills my lungs
I gasp for air
But thirst for an answer.
