An Incoherent Apology

Words slipping past my lips
That tripped
Upon my sloppy tongue...
A fey mistake,
A chance to take.
I took--
And now have strung
My sundered wit,
My slivered heart
Publicized for all to see.
My erratum--
That ne'er I loved
Another one but he.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Scarlatan, in the year 380 AF.
