We walked the same path for a time
My walls of solitude you did climb
As we spoke of what was to be
I felt you drift away from me


As we walk down the path of togetherness
Feeling so alone due to your thoughtlessness
You drifted further with each step
Till there was nothing left


Now before me lay two paths
And my heart must do the math
One I would walk with no other
One we would walk together


But as we have traveled down this road
The truth must surely be told
I am more alone upon this path we share
Then my heart can truly bear
