My first poem, written on a dare, a long time ago


A Lover's Nose


Fixed betwixed my lover's eyes
The twitch of which to my surprise
Delights my sights and fills my mind
Imprints its hints, the tender kind

A poem sung about a nose
A topic very seldom chose

Though at its heart, it tells of beauty
A lover's gaze intent with duty

A gentle sniffle breaks the stillness
Of sadness maybe, perhaps an illness

Concerned I ponder even longer
Upon the poem I've been writing
Perhaps its words could make her stronger
Help her through, the pain she's fighting

A simple poem, on a nose
My love for her, forever grows
