I Bleed


I stared at the ground,
at the scarlet pool,
Wondering how I
could be such a fool;
To let you have
my shattered heart;
So you could drop it
and then depart.
My wounds were fresh,
they're deeper now.
My scars reopened;
they bleed, somehow.
Drop by drop
seeping to the ground;
My life leaves with it,
ne'er to be found.
The years walk on
and I'll be nought but rot;
Then, and only then.......
My blood begins to clot.
