So, I asked a certain lady for a subject upon which to base my next
poem. She answered by telling me to go to the Aerinewild, and look for
something small and cute. I didn't see her there, but I did find
something else....
Do you know your name?
Do you know your name
Or do you even care?
As you frolic in the forest,
With leaves 'twined in your hair.
Do you know your name,
My sweetest little one?
Rolling in the rich warm earth
Beneath the summer sun.
Do you know your name
Or e'en the time of day?
Your fine black fur all matted
As you leap about and play.
Do you know your name?
As you stare at the trees above,
With eyes so wide and emerald green,
You fill my heart with love.
Do you know your name?
Is it in that locket there?
Does it tell me who you are?
And do you even care?
Penned by my hand on the 18th of Miraman, in the year 377 AF.
